ABOUT US

In our medium-sized family-run company all our processes are designed to aim at customer satisfaction and the high quality of our products. Our sports exhaust systems as well as the performance catalysts and body kits are developed and produced directly at our headquarters and therefore they are all “made in Germany”. Our sales department and customer service centre are also based in Lebach, so we have successfully been pursuing the “single source” principle for years.

Meanwhile our products are not only used in the original equipment of special editions for vehicle manufacturers, but also for high-quality retrofitting operations of vehicles. In our daily business we are particularly leveraging our long-term experience in motorsports. We test and prove our new developments on the racetrack under extreme conditions, thus being able to prepare them for series production.

With the decision to build our own test track, we also laid the foundation for a competence center for noise emission. In 2019, our own test track was certified with the DIN ISO Norm 10844:2014. That means that we can perform all measurements relevant to noise emission on-site to ensure the conformity of our sports exhaust systems to the present ECE norms. What is more, the certification allows to measure other noise emissions, such as tyre noise so the car manufacturers can use our track for those measurements as well.

Our modern division as well as our classic division cover a broad spectrum of products. In the field of spare parts for the brands Volvo, MG, Austin Healey and Triumph we are the market leader in Europe. More than 40000 parts are immediately available from stock. We reproduce about 4200 of them because they are no longer available on the market or because they are of an inferior quality. Our portfolio of products ranges from the smallest screw to a complete engine or body panels and is constantly being expanded – just as in our modern division.

PHILOSOPHY

Back in March of 1986 Rainer Bastuck founded the company BASTUCK & Co. GmbH which has grown in a medium-sized family-run business with its headquarters in Lebach – a small city in the German federal state of Saarland, in the west of the country.

Due to his passion for classic cars – initially and primarily for the TRIUMPH marque – Rainer Bastuck and his team have built up a wealth of knowledge over the years. From their hands-on experience of working with various classic cars, BASTUCK & Co. GmbH has expanded over the years to become one of the largest and best respected suppliers of quality classic car parts in Europe – now supplying parts for Austin Healey, MG, Triumph and Volvo.

Besides the love for classic automobiles, Rainer Bastuck also has a second passion: the motorsport. The longstanding experience in the CLASSIC area in combination with his extensive know-how in motorsport paved the way for a new development stage in company history: in 1991, we introduced the business branch SPORT in Lebach, in which the development and manufacture of high quality stainless steel sports exhaust systems are included.

As a reaction to the changes on the automobile market, the BASTUCK & Co. GmbH continuously increased its product portfolio and made its mark not only with high quality sports exhaust systems but also with sporty body kits. Since 2013, the performance increasing performance catalyst division additionally complements the BASTUCK SPORT branch. EG and ECE homologations, part certificates and German general operating licenses (ABE) as well as the longstanding ISO 9001 certification (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015), which persists since 1999, prove the high quality of our products.

The newest extension of our company portfolio also has a DIN ISO certification (DIN ISO norm 10844:2014). Our own test track, on which the noise emission of road vehicles and their tires can be measured, is an important part of the competence centre for noise emission, which has been initialised by the BASTUCK & Co. GmbH and has been finalised in 2019.
Our focus during our reflection on the strategic positioning of our portfolio lays on our clients and their wishes. We consequently orientate ourselves towards these wishes with our service and our products and further develop our company branches. In the process, the emphasis lays on quality and reliability – in the CLASSIC as well as in the SPORT area.

Our policy of continuous improvement is backed up by the knowledge of the staff we employ – we currently have around 65 permanent employees working at BASTUCK & Co GmbH, four of which are based at our French subsidiary – BASTUCK France.
