With the Big Healeys the original sheet metal oil sump is a weak point and many owners know the problem: The oil sump is dented so that there is a risk of tearing.
That is why we took up the issue and developed a reinforced aluminium oil sump that fits the Austin Healey BN4-BJ8 perfectly. It not only prevents denting, but also stiffens the entire engine block. In addition, the additional cooling fins ensure optimum heat dissipation and thus also a lower oil temperature. To prevent the oil from moving uncontrolled, the oil sump has cast-in oil spill webs. As a result, the oil pump does not draw any air even when driving in a sporty style.
The mounting procedure is simple: only the oil sump gasket MD18AH and the fitting kit M100AH/FK are necessary.
